Offered in good condition inside and out is a copy of this extremely scarse book written by Philip Atkins.
Britannia - Birth of a Locomotive was published by Irwell Press in 1991 ISBN 187160821X and details the rationale behind the design and introduction of the well known BR class 7 mixed traffic locomotive.
It should be noted that there are slight signs of the odd page having been stuck together in the past but I do not consider that this detracts from the overall good condition of the book and is reflected in the price bearing in mind one is listed on ABE as I write (Nov 2009) for £65.

A W Deller looks at the history of Slade Green Depot in South East London in a book which was produced in conjunction with Network South East on the occasion of the introduction of new Networker trains.
Although this has been in stock since new, it is offered as second-hand due to the condition having been mistreated by customers over the years! with nicks in the otherwise clean glazed boards and spine.

Volume two of the trilogy on the Severn & Wye Railway from Wild Swan was published in 1985 and is the rarer of the three.
It concentrates on the section of route from Coleford Junction to Cinderford together with extensive coverage of the collieries and industries it served such as Cannop and Trafalgar collieries and Bicslades Stoneworks.
As before it is suported by photographs, plans and architectural drawings and is offered in good condition throughout.

Part 1 of the three part study from Wild Swan by authors Pope, How and Karau of the Severn & Wye Railway was published in 1983 (later reproduced in softback).
This volume looks at the origins of the railway from the early tramroads and includes photographs along the line from Severn Bridge to Lydney and Parkend, supported by maps and plans of structures.

Jim Russell's study of Great Western Diesel Railcars published by Wild Swan is generally acknowledged as the most comprehensive and detailed accounts of the design, building and operation of the successful Great Western "Flying Bananas".
The book is clean and tidy throughout and the dustjacket is intact and in good condition apart from wear to the edges and rippling to the top of the spine.

OPC produced a series of books entitled Diesels on the Regions. This edition by Colin Marsden portrays those to be found on the former Southern Region and includes DMU's DEMU's and Electro-Diesels. It has 188 good quality black and white plates and was published in 1984.

One of the more obscure titles from OPC in 1978 was Railway Motor Buses and Bus Services in the British Isles 1902-1933 Volume 1 by John Cummings.
This volume covers Ireland, Scotland, and the Northern, Midland and Eastern parts of the country and covers that period of time when railway companies were directly concerned with the running of motor bus services.
The book is in generally good condition save for a peeled off lable inside the front dust jacket, a small nick in the lower left front of the dust jacket and a little creasing on the spine of the d/j.
