The Power of the Counties

Lawrence Waters presents a photographic study of the GWR's County 4-6-0s designed by Hawksworth in the mid 1940s to their last days in the 1960s. Sadly none were preserved but there is now a project to recreate one in preservation by using parts from derelict locomotives from Barry scrapyard.
