The Red Dragon

This is a most unusual publication in the sense that a group of local photographers/enthusiasts from Swansea have joined together to form LDR Publications in order to produce a high quality photographic volume recording the steam railway scene in and around the area in the post war era.

What is more unusual is that all the proceeds from the book are dedicated to three charities, Cancer Research Wales, the British Heart Foundation and the Swansea Vale Railway.

This is a superb photographic album which faithfully records both the gritty industrial background to railway operations, station working, and open countryside in what was a complex area with dedicated networks and infrastructure for both the GWR and BR (WR) and the LMS BR (LMR).

As this is a heavy book, 394 pages and 335 good qulaity plates, postage is by Standard Parcels (UK only - ask for details for postage abroad).
