John Scott-Morgan takes a look at the forgotten branch lines of Kent.
Whilst Kent is well known for having an extensive commuter network, it too suffered badly at the hands of Dr Beeching. Some lines did not survive long enough to worry the Doctor such as the Canterbury and Whitstable Railway and the Elham Valley line.

Having been brought up within sight and sound of the WR's hydraulic locomotives, I awaited this book with eager anticipation and was not disappointed.
This is a full colour album brought together by Hugh Dady full of good quality photographs from around the region covering the pitifully short lifes of the warships. I was particularly pleased to see colour photographs of D600's in blue and one taken in Central Wales.
